Ch 4. Time slips through our fingers bringing memories.

It was slowly dawning to the young parents that having a toddler was worlds apart from having a baby. For one toddlers crawled, got into things and near tripped their parents. Another was that toddlers tended to be much more vocal about their wants and needs...and Ryu could sleep through a bomb going off in next adjoined room.  That bomb being named Libby Caldwell.

But it wasn't all bad. There was plenty of cuddling to be had from both men.

Eskimo kisses~!
"There's my big girl!"

And plenty of things to learn!

Like walking...

and talking...
 And using the potty chair

*tap tap* *tap tap tap tap* *yawn*

Which was very boring and smelly for all the parties involved. Though the peg box and xylophone were lots of fun and very noisy~!

And with the construction of the second level of their home...

Everything was in a cheerful disarray and chaos. But the clutter was a sign of things looking up for the just starting family.  They were able to afford that computer that Ryu had been begging for and the new toilet that Derrick had been demanding finally. Hell! Ryu was actually able to go to a party instead of working over time on his computer! ...Thanks to all the over time he put in on his computer and the many raises he got, not to mention the rare butterfly Derrick managed to coax to hand.

Seemed that even the town was starting to get use to the odd family. More people were starting to greet Derrick during his outings. Including one kitty girl who was enjoyably perk if not a bit scattered. There was even news of more fey-blooded people moving in.

All in all it lead to a more relaxed atmosphere in the town over all. Not that there wasn't still some rough patches. But that's what life is all, the good and the bad.

'...and feeling old'  Derrick thought as he bounced Libby on his hip watching her lean in and blow out the candles on her cake. The man set his daughter down and stood close to Ryu as the sparkles engulfed his baby girl and turned her into a child.

Sparkly! Wait...Why aren't they blue!!!?

She's got the potential to be a pink winged heart breaker...if she weren't so weird.

Author's Notes: There she is. Libby the child. Next chapter! Her washing the sink, signing up for school and after school activities. First three actions after cake...not lying. You'll also be meeting baby brother next chapter...who's already a toddler in game.

Bonus Pictures!!

Fore mentioned kitty girl. >> Nope not me...deeefinitely not me. *cough* next!

One the other fairies. Might be Libby's auntie. :P

Ch3. Being human is hard, being a human sized fariy is harder.

Things settled back into a comfortable pattern after Derrick's announcement. Ryu went to work while Derrick puttered about hunting for gems and insects. Derrick gardened as Ryu did a bit of extra work from home on their computer. Everything was going good for them despite still rather struggling for money.

"Thank you for coming over and helping Kaye."

"Its fine. I had the free time anyways."

Indeed everything seemed to be going great for the young couple but there was some less the wonderful comments being made over town. Whispers over the fact that a human married a fairy. Something new, strange, and almost taboo. There was some like Kaye who didn't mind and others who didn't quite trust the faye beings that were slowly invading the normal world like vampires who'd only revealed themselves a couple years before the fairy societies did.

The Residents of Sunset Valley had already been use to the presence of fairies, being so close to one their larger rings, when they start integrating in with human. In fact there were already several couples like their own there. Seemed Twinbrook was less then comfortable with the idea according to some the looks the pregnant Derrick got around town. Some were understandably curious and others were less then understandably disgusted. So more and more Derrick spent his time at home or back in the woods hunting collectables, feeling shier then normal around the residents of town. Unfortunately it was coming home from gem hunting that Derrick went into labor.

Ryu had not been pleased to get that call...

"My water broke!"

"What!? Where are you??"

"I don't know! Hollow something or other!"

"Dare! Just sit put. I'll send a taxi."

"No!! I don't want to ride in one those dirty things!!"

"You are going to have to. I'm coming too."

After that little bit of drama the two were rewarded with a lovely baby girl that they named Libby.

A lovely baby girl that both men adored greatly.

The two settled into a new pattern that cheerfully embraced the new addition family member. New experiences came along with old.

Fixing the Sink

and the toilet that broke mere seconds later.

Exploring old crypts

Who the hell puts a dragon in their family tomb!!? *cauff* I'm going home...

And the baby's birthday!

Baby's birthday?

Holy bouncing fairies, Batsim, where did the time go!?

D'awww! How did something so cute come from the pair of us? -Ryu.
Derrick refused to dignify that with an answer, of course.

Author's Note: >> So no lie. Derrick went into labor on the way home from one the fishing holes while on the bike. Then had negative moodlets all the way to the hospital cause of riding in the cab due to being Eco friendly, shy and in labor. I plan to work this into her personality later on. Libby is actually up to child in my game and my couple have their second child. But you don't get to learn about him yet.

Libby's personality traits are: Virtuoso and Genius, which she was born with and Eccentric which she got upon aging up to child. She got Ryu's blue black hair and Ivy green eyes.

ch 2. Seems Shy Green Fairies Attract a lot of Attention

The days progressed quickly for the two, Ryu working hard each day and coming home stressed each night while Derreck ran around town each day trying to find gems, metals, and rare bugs (There is absolutely nothing in Twinbrook grr arg) never getting home till far after Ryu had fallen asleep. It was a rare stroke of luck that the two were awake at the same time and not at work, a moment that the two took advantage of accordingly.

well placed leggage for the win.

After a bonding moment and some cuddling, Ryu was off to work leaving Derrick to tend his slowly growing garden and to go off for more collecting.

(ahhh nothing like naked gardening after a bit of woo hoo to make your day)

"I got it! I got it!"
"Wait up for me!!"

It was later that day that the young fairy started to feel less then fantastic. "Probably just hungry. I just had salad this morning." He carefully packed everything he collected in his pack and hopped on the bike that Ryu had gotten him back in Sunset Valley, heading back home.

He'd just reached the door of their tiny home when a wave a nausea crashed over him sending him running for the bathroom. Luckily enough it was rather close  and he avoided any potential messes.

Close call
After that his stomach quickly settled and the odd sickness didn't return. He frowned lightly and decided to make a quick trip to the store. Later that night he'd tell Ryu the news of their impending child.

Author's note: I think its picking up...maybe? Perchance. idk. >> Also there is really very little in the way of collecting in Twinbrook. Its driving me a bit nanners.

Ch. 1 So maybe we aren't the normalest couple in town...

Meet Ryu. Your run of the mill Siminole-Japanese man raised near the reservations with aspirations to become a CEO of his own company. Like many other little boys he went to a nice public school, learned to read and write and add, went to scouts and martial arts, pulled pranks and played in mud then grew up into a man with an excellent work ethic, great body that he kept in shape through dedication, and who was pretty intelligent.

(two seconds from now he'll catch the kitchen on fire.)

The only difference was his child hood friend, a small wood fairy that he found one day after getting lost during a camping trip. The tiny green being had lead him back home (boy did he feel like a video game hero that day) and decided to stick with the small boy.

On the day Ryu came home from graduation (And a graduation/birthday party) his was greeted to an unusual sight.

Seemed his birthday wish had came true...

Ryu grinned and ran over to the lithe green male and hugged him tight much to the shock of his parents.  Needless to say he never let go from there. Well...he did but, oh you understand. As the days progressed Ryu and the fairy, who decided to take up the name Derrick got ready to enter their new lives and Ryu's parents got us to the newish addition to their family, even helping the couple put together an impromptu wedding.

After the wedding the two moved to Twinbrook using the money they had gotten as a wedding gift from Ryu's parents. The two bought a small home and quickly settled in. No sooner had the two sat down from unpacking and applying for their jobs did they get guests in the form of the knack family.

It was a rather nice little meet and greet till Nick and Pattina got a bit...loud in the bathroom. Between his rather shy husband and the rude guests Ryu got snippy and ordered the guest to leave, coaxing his lover back out to at least eat something before they both crashed for the night with bright dreams of the future.

Author notes: Right. Short chapter is short. I'm getting a hang of this Legacy blog thing. Yes. Derreck is a fairy. As in the mystical creature fairy. Mostly cause the green skin amused me greatly. His traits are Shy, Charismatic. Eco-Friendly, Green thumb, and Loves the outdoors. Fitting no?

Ryu's traits are Workaholic, Brave, Disciplined, Bookworm, and Computer whiz.

Also the misspell of Seminole is on purpose. Its a play on words like with the world locations. Hopefully things will get better.  *crosses fingers*
